Started my nursing career in 1984 in Phoenix, Az as a Director of Nursing moved back to Minnesota and continued my career at Hopkins Health Care as Director of Nursing. Became a Quality Assurance Nurse for this same company and traveled across the US for the next 10 years as both a consultant and a surveyor. Intense training was provided by this company on OBRA regulations and state regulations. and the surveying process. Went on to become Director of Nursing at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted Min for the next 12 years. At this same time I started a company that trained Nursing Assistants in 1997. Continued with this program as owner for the next 23 years. Joined the Monarch family July of 2017. Retired July of 2020 for three months, decided I missed my coworkers and teaching the NAR’s especially this year of covid. I am glad to be back and in this teaching role.
