City of Faribault – Building Inspectors

The City of Faribault provides many public services, including: Police, Fire, Park and Recreation, as well as not as familiar departments – such as Community and Economic Development. This department handles everything related to the growth and development of a community. Within the Community and Economic Development Department is the Building Codes Division. For the purpose of this video – we intend to highlight the Building Codes Division.

Building Codes handles everything related to the design, construction, and overall completion of a building project. This includes everything from the deck of the back of your house to a 1-million square foot manufacturing facility. Our Building Inspector and Building Official review building plans for code compliance and perform on-site inspections during the construction process to ensure these structures are safe for many years to come.
